Requirements for Learning the IDA

 

 

Participant's Background, Experience and Prerequisite Skills:

 

A basic understanding of child development concepts, theory and experience with typically developing infants and toddlers are considered important foundations.

 

 

The following criteria are considered prerequisites:

 

  • Completed or developing credentials in one discipline

 

  • Understanding of early childhood developmental theory & principles and their

         application to practice

 

  • Experience with child assessment either in clinical, educational, early intervention

         or health area

 

  • Experience interviewing and working with families and children ages birth to three years
The IDA-2 is a best practice measure for all professionals working with young children in a wide range of settings.
The IDA-2 is the best practice measure for all infants, covering all domains of child development.
The IDA-2 is the best practice measure for all toddlers, covering all domains of child development.
